Plans are moving ahead for the West End Cross Country Race on October 2^nd.  Sarah Hargreaves and Martin Gladders will be available after the Trophy Race on Wednesday 10 August to talk with anyone willing to volunteer.

• On 2 October we need lots of people marshalling on the course, in the car park and on the children’s race course.
• On Saturday 1 October, we need people (some could be the same) to come out late am and afternoon to lay out the course – put up tape with bamboo canes, plant little flags, tie it in branches, make the finish funnels and put signs on the approach roads. And to carry small straw bales across a field full of hungry cows! All help welcome!
• And we need people on Saturday 24 September to saw, hack, cut etc nettles, branches, brambles where they are too much for a cross country.
